The first thing you need to configure on the AS2Gateway is a "Trading Station" which is used as your local endpoint of the trading communication, you will receive messages to this trading station and you can send messages from this trading station. A trading station is nearly analogous to a email address.
Lets start with adding a trading station for your organization. You could click on the "Add Trading Station" icon on the dashboard Trading Stations section or use the "Quick Access" menu to add a trading station.
Click on the "Quick Access" menu on the top navigation bar to get the drop down menu
Click on the "Add Trading Station" menu item to get the trading station page.
Now you need to fill the required information to configure the trading station you are about to add.
To add the trading station;
Specify a name for the trading station. This is solely used for the organization and viewing of stations within the application, and will not be used in AS2 message communication
Specify the AS2 identifier, this is the identifier used to identify the AS2 station, analogous to your email id and used in AS2 message communication, this has to be unique among a set of agreed partners, and AS2Gateway.
Optionally specify an email address to be used in From header of AS2 communication (This is not AS2From, which will be the as2identifier on outgoing messages)
A small description for this trading station to easily identify it.
That’s it for a basic configuration and you can click on on the "Add Station" button to add the trading station of your organization.
Only one trading station AS2Gateway only allows free users to have one trading station. |
Note that in this process an identity keystore for this trading station is created and attached into the station with an identity certificate, to be used in signing the outgoing messages and to be distributed for encrypting message by partners of incoming messages.
You may configure these with the advance configurations found by clicking the "Show Advance Options" button, which allows you to also upload a custom existing keystore containing an identity certificate.
Once you add the station, you will be directed to the trading station listing page, from which you can view the partner configurations of the station just created.
Note the actions on the right most column which are the actions available for a trading station.
Click on the "Partner Config" button of the action panel of the trading station listing to see the configuration that you should be sharing with your partners in-order for them to setup a trading partner to send AS2 messages to your organization via the just setup trading station.
Note the email option at the bottom which helps you specify an email address to forward this partner configuration to, containing the certificates and all the information relevant to setting up a partner.
Now that we have created a trading station we need to add a partner to be able to send AS2 messages to.
