Registering an Organization

Registering an Organization is the very first action to get started with AS2Gateway, which can also be considered as Sign Up to the AS2Gateway. Visit the AS2Gateway home page and click on the "Sign Up" button on the home page, as shown below to register your organization.

This will take you to the Organization registration page and registration process has following 3 steps.

Setup your organization

The first step in registering an organization is to disclose few information related to the organization in to the registration wizard.

As shown above fill in the organization information.

  1. Fill in the domain name for the organization, which will be used to uniquely identify your organization in the AS2Gateway. It is preferred to use your organization real web domain for this.

  2. Specify the organization name, this is the name assigned to your organization and is used when ever there is textual a reference to your organization

  3. Specify an email for your organization, this has to be an email address belonging to your organization, accessible by you as an activation email will be sent to this email address. Later on this email address will also be used to notifications related to AS2Gateway communication etc.

  4. Specify a mailing address, preferably the address of the head office, to send in any hard printed agreements or information if applicable.

  5. Finally in this step specify the country in which your organization is registered/operated in. This is optional, but is important to specify as it will be used later for certificate generation etc..

  6. Click on the "Next" button on the bottom to advance to the next step, and you are done with the organization setup.

Setup an administration user account

Now that you have specified the organization details, you need to also create an administrative user account to administrate this organization in the AS2Gateway. The second step of the registration wizard extract the information related to the administrative account.

Fill in the organization administrative user account information as shown above;

  1. Specify an administration username

  2. Specify the first name of the administrator (preferably your first name)

  3. Specify the last name of the administrator (preferably your last name)

  4. Specify the Email address of the administrator, received AS2 message notifications will be sent to this email address

  5. Specify a strong password (at least 6 characters) for the administrative account

  6. Retype the password for password validation purposes

  7. Optionally specify the administrators title/role in the organization, (for example, "Sys Admin" or "Operations Officer")

  8. Select the preferred locale.

  9. Finally click on the "Next" button to advance into the final step of the registration.

Agree for the terms and conditions

The terms and condition agreement completes the process of registration as follows.

Please read the terms of the service very carefully and agree to proceed with the AS2Gateway organization registration.

  1. Read the terms carefully

  2. Check the "I agree" check box, of course if you agree for the read terms and conditions

  3. Click on the "Register" button to register your organization on the AS2Gateway.

You are done, you will be directed to the home page of the AS2Gateway with information message of the following form.

As this message states you will receive an activation email for the organization email address to activate the organization that you have just created.
