Archived Audit logs

IMonitor-X generated audit logs can be archived and moved to a separate database table, so that the database house-keeping procedures can be configured to clean them up. These archived audit logs can be viewed by selecting the Audit Logs item from the main menu and then clicking the View Archived Audit Logs button on top right corner.

This tabular view displays the below information of each archived audit log in addition to a set of action buttons.

Timestamp (1)

The timestamp when the original audit log was created

Archive Timestamp (2)

The timestamp when the original audit log was archived

Subject (3)

The subject of the archived audit log

Username (4)

The name of the user whose action triggered this original audit log. If the audit log was generated for a system initiated action, this value will be System.

Type (5)

The type of the archived audit log (e.g.: Project, ESB, User, etc)

Severity (6)

The severity of the archived audit log, which will be one of the following.

  • Info

  • Success

  • Warn

  • Error

The action buttons provide the following functionality for each archived audit log.

View (7)

Displays the archived audit log details

Unarchive (8)

Unarchives the archived audit log by moving it back into the audit table

These archived audit logs can be refined using the archived audit log filter which can be accessed from the button (9). Also the search box (10) can be used to search archived audit logs by their subject.
In addition, the View Audit Logs (11) button can be used to access the audit log list.

Archived Audit log filter

The archived audit log filter can be used to refine the list of archived audit logs. This provides the following three filter criteria that can be used either individually or in combination.

Username (1)

Filters the archived audit logs by the name of the user whose action triggered the original audit log. This will match all the usernames that contain the provided filter value.

For example

The filter value jo will be matched for both john as well as joey while the value joh will be matched for john.

Type (2)

Filters the archived audit logs by their type (e.g.: Project, ESB, User or any other custom type). Select value as Any to match all types.

Severity (3)

Filters the archived audit logs by their severity, which will be one of the following. Select value as Any to match all severities.

  • Info

  • Success

  • Warn

  • Error

After selecting one or more above filters, click on Apply (4) button to apply those filters. The Reset Filters *(5) button can be used to reset all the filters.

The archived audit details pop-up shows all the following details of a particular archived audit log (1).

  • Timestamp

  • Archive Timestamp

  • Subject

  • User

  • Type

  • Severity

  • Audit message

The Unarchive Audit Log (2) button can be used to unarchive this archived audit log.
