Version: 17.07
Ultra Project management view provides the facilities to add new Ultra Projects to be managed through IMonitor-X, modify already added such configurations and also to remove them as well. To access this view, select the Nodes item from the main menu.
Please note that the project management functionalities illustrated below are accessible only for the admin users (users that belong to the Super User group). If you are a non-admin user, the above action will take you to the projects list. |
The easiest way to add project configurations is to use the import functionality, which connects to an active UltraESB-X node of a selected space and imports the configurations of the projects deployed in that node.
To use this feature, first click on Import Projects of Space button.
Then from the next pop-up dialog, select a cluster space to import projects from. Please ensure that at least one UltraESB-X instance of this cluster space is in active state.
The next pop-up will show a list of projects (with versions) that were found on the selected space. Select the projects to be imported, then select the user groups to be assigned to the selected projects and finally click Import button.
Please note that the users belong to the super user group will have access to any Ultra Project, irrespective of whether the super user group is assigned for that project or not. |
Then IMonitor-X will import these project details to the the database and finally provide a report similar to the above. Please note that if a project with the same project ID and version already exists in the database, such projects will be skipped from importing. When you close the report pop-up, the newly imported projects should be visible in the projects list.
If it not possible to import project as mentioned above, you can manually add projects to IMonitor-X as follows.
First click on Add New Project button, which will open the project addition form.
On the form, fill the Project ID (1), Project Name (2) and Project Version (3) fields first. Although you can provide any sensible value as the Project Name, you must ensure that Project ID and Project Version values are exactly similar to the values configured in actual Ultra Project. Optionally a description (4) for the project can also be provided.
The project ID and version values are configured at the top of the project.xpml file inside any Ultra Project.
|
Next select the cluster space (5) to which this project belongs to and then select one or more user groups (6) that can have access to this project.
Please note that the users belong to the super user group will have access to any Ultra Project, irrespective of whether the super user group is assigned for that project or not. |
Finally click on the Save (7) button to save these configurations to the database.
All the project added through either of the above methods are listed in the projects list. This tabular view displays the below information of each project in addition to a set of action buttons.

Version (3) |

Description (4) |
