Please note that the UltraESB-X instance management functionalities illustrated below are accessible only for the admin users (users that belong to the Super User group). If you are a non-admin user, the above action will take you to the UltraESB-X instance list.

Adding a new instance

To add a new UltraESB-X instance, first click on the Add New Instance button, which will open the form to add instance information.

Management server connection

  • On the Add new Instance form, first specify the management server URL (1) of the UltraESB-X instance. Note that the specified value should only contain up to the port of the complete management server URL, but not the management part. For example, if the complete management server URL is http://uex1:8085/management, the specified value should be http://uex1:8085/.

  • If the management server is configured to use authentication, switch on the Username-password based authentication toggle button (2) and then specify the username (3) and the password (4) to be used.

The user account specified in the above step must be an account with all the management server access privileges.
  • Then if the specified UltraESB-X instance is currently in active state, click Test Connection button (5) to ensure the connection parameters are correctly configured. This will provide a pop-up notification with the information on whether the connection was successful or not.

Node name and Space name

  • If the connection was successful, the Node name (6) and Space name (7) values will be automatically filled with the information retrieved from the UltraESB-X instance. Otherwise, you need to manually fill those values and should make sure that the provided values are exactly similar to the node name and space name configured in the UltraESB-X instance.

Primary/Secondary instance

  • In case your cluster space contains multiple UltraESB-X instances and they are configured in an Active-Passive setup, the active UltraESB-X instances should be marked as Primary using the toggle button (8) and passive instances should be marked as Secondary (Non-primary). If no such setup is in use, mark all instances as Primary.

Finally click on the Save (9) button to persist the changes you made to the database.

Check Status (7)

Edit (8)

Can be used to modify the properties of an already added UltraESB-X instance. Clicking on this button will take you to the same form that was used to add a new instance, which will be filled with already added property values. You can modify any of those properties and save the new values by clicking on Save button.

Remove (9)

can be used to remove an already added UltraESB-X instance. When this button is clicked, you will get a confirmation dialog and the instance will be removed once confirmed.

If the removed UltraESB_X instance was the only instance belonged to its cluster space, that cluster space as well as any Ultra Projects that belong to the cluster space will also be removed from the database.

In addition, this list can be refined to display the instances that belong to a particular cluster space, using the Cluster Spaces drop-down list (10). In addition, the search box (11) can be used to search instances based on node name and service URL.
